The Red Cross
The International Committee of the Red Cross plays an important humanitarian role in times of conflicts. The ICRC has the right to visit prisoners of war and civilians deprived of their freedom in their places of detention and to interview them privately. During non-international armed conflicts, parties are encouraged to accept and ICRC offer to make a visit. Read more

Human rights defenders are individuals, groups of people or organizations who promote and protect human rights through peaceful and non-violent means.
