Peru: IACHR ruled against the state of Peru in case of enforced disappearance

Inter American Court of Human Rights has sentenced the Peruvian state in case 11,385 on the forced disappearance of Kenneth Ney Anzualdo Castro that took place on 16 December 1993.

The disappearance was allegedly executed by agents of the Army Intelligence Service at the time. The facts are framed in an era marked by a "pattern of extrajudicial executions, forced disappearances and massacres" attributed to government officials and groups linked to the security agencies, helped by a pattern of impunity in the investigation and prosecution of such facts.
