Statement by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights at end of official visit to Pakistan
The UN Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour visited Pakistan last week and met with the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Minister of Law and Justice, between others. In her statement she praises the mobilization of Pakistani civil society, and mentions enforced disappearances as a problem pending to be resolved.
