Context
According to the last UNWGEID report of the 18 cases reported, 6 took place in 1992 and concerned youths taken into custody by the police at the time of the arrest of leaders of the Cameroon Anglophone Movement following a peaceful demonstration. 3 other cases occurred in 1999 concerning members of the Southern Cameroon National Council. Finally other 9 cases involved adolescents arrested by security forces in 2001on suspicion of robbery.
