| All the cases denounced to the UNGWEID took place in 2003. Four of them concerned members of the ULFA who were arrested by the Bhutanese army and subsequently handed over to the Indian army. The UNWGEID has sent copies of these four cases to the Government of India. The Indian Government indicated that these four cases have been investigated by the authorities but they don't yet have information about these persons.
The fifth case concerns the Publicity Secretary of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland who was arrested by the Bhutan army in Thimphu and disappeared afterwards. The Government of Bhutan replied not to be aware of his whereabouts |
