Este informe documenta la responsabilidad del Gobierno de Eritrea en los patrones de graves violaciones de derechos humanos: arrestos y detenciones arbitrarias, torturas, trabajos forzados, y condiciones inhumanas de detención; rígidas restricciones de la libertad de movimiento y de expresión; y persecución religiosa Eritrea arbitraria y habitualmente detiene personas que critican al presidente, el gobierno, y los militares, los que intentan eludir el servicio nacional o desertan del ejército, y los que practican o se perciben como miembros de religiones no cristianas.
