Preliminary observations on the IACHR visit to Honduras

The purpose of the visit was to observe the human rights situation in the context of the coup d’état of June 28, 2009. During their visit, the IACHR has verified, between others, the existence of excessive use of police force and sharp polarization of the communications media.
