Context
Disappearance cases reported to the UNWGEID occurred in between 1983 and 1999. Some of the victims concerned members of the Hadjerai ethnic group arrested in 1991 by security forces. A group of 6 victims members of armed opposition groups seemed to have been arrested by the Sudanese security forces in 1996.
