Italian court convicts CIA agents for extraordinary rendition

An Italian court has convicted 23 people, among which 22 CIA agents, in their role in the abduction of Abu Omar in Italy.

The abduction took place as part of the now halted extraordinary rendition programme. This programme led to the enforced disappearance of a great number of suspected terrorists.
