Kenya: UN Special Rapporteur findings on extrajudicial, arbitrary or summary executions in Kenya

Between June and October 2007 the Kenyan National Commission on Human Rights documented that in police death squad operations, approximately 500 people were killed or disappeared by the police.The Special Rapporteur further reports that in the Mt Elgon district the Sabaot Land Defence Force (SLDF) militia is responsible for at least 120 disappearances between 2006-2008.
