Phillipines: Urgency to pass human rights bill against disappearances

House Deputy Minority Leader Satur Ocampo (Bayan Muna) has called for the immediate passage of two major House Bills that would address the prevailing climate of impunity on human rights violations and raise government human rights policy and accountability to internationally-accepted standards. Ocampo is main author of HB 2263, “An Act Defining and Penalizing the Crime of Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance”.
